Bouncing Bulldogs

The goal of the Bouncing Bulldogs program is to promote jumping rope for fun and fitness, and to help all children grow physically, emotionally, socially and academically. Each year, the team teaches and performs worldwide in front of thousands of spectators, including sports fans, health and fitness professionals, corporate employees, students, educators and the general public. The team has won more than 200 national  and international championship awards in both single and double dutch events and has 18 world champions. 

John “Doc” Blake

John “doc” Blake has degrees in Public Health Education and Sports Medicine from East Carolina University and the American College of Sports Medicine. He developed and implemented sports medicine care and educational programs in Washington, DC and Durham, NC. He is the founder of More Than Gold Sports outreach, Camps for City Kids, and total body fitness programs strengthening youth and adults locally and nationally.

John’s heartbeat and focus is to empower poor, disenfranchised, and at-risk city kids through biblical kingdom building of the body, mind, and spirit for sustained fitness and wellness throughout life. Most of his fitness and sports programs were established in 1996 to build solid academic / athletic skills and strong Christian character in city kids ages 7-14. Today, personal fitness training, nutrition planning, sports camps and tennis academies are offered.

Mark’s love for fitness goes all the way back to his Jr High days. Sports were always a big part of his life, and being in the best physical and mental shape has continued to this day.
